The Rev. Scott Postlewait - Lutheran (ELCA) Campus PastorWelcome to the UW and to Campus Ministry! I've been the Lutheran (ELCA) Campus Pastor at the UW since March, 1997. It's a great place for the Church to be present, and for young adults to spend some time exploring what they believe and how faith fits into their lives. We're used to welcoming students who've grown up in the faith and students who have never been in Church before! Questions are welcome here -- from the basic to the complicated, it's all fair game! I'm available for pastoral counseling and for informal conversation. Some of my joys include spending time with my family, cycling, surfing, sailing, and skiing.
The Rev. Mary Shehane - Episcopal ChaplainGreetings and welcome from your campus pastor here at the UW! I have been a deacon in the Episcopal Church since 1995. Before serving as campus chaplain I worked with street ministries and founded the Sanctuary Art Center in the U-District (an art center for homeless youths). I have been a campus chaplain for over seven years. It is a great joy to serve students, and I am honored to know every student I have met. I hope you will come and join us here at Crossroads Campus Ministry for friendship, worship, service opportunities, alternative spring break trips, and just plain fun.
Katrina Hamilton - Peer Minister (Episcopal)Greetings! My name is Katrina and I'm a senior majoring in drama and dance. For the past three years I've been a member of UW's Best and Only Improv troupe The Collective. I've really enjoyed my time here with Crossroads Ministries, and I'm excited to be a peer minister and have a chance to become even more involved. College is what you make of it, I hope to see you around!
Gretchen Olson - Peer Minister (Lutheran)Hey! I’m Gretchen. I am a Design Studies major in my senior year at the UW. On campus, I’m involved in environmental projects, and I work for a national residence hall organization. In the past, I’ve been part of Lutheran Churches in Washington, Utah and New Mexico. I’m excited to be a peer minister at Crossroads Campus Ministry again this year! For me, Crossroads is a place of shared friends, support, and growth. I enjoy this group because it is like being part of a big, open, changing family while we students are away from home.
David Metting - Peer Minister (Episcopal)Hi, ny name is David, and I was born and raised an Episcopalian. Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation, Mission trips, Summer camp- I've done it all! I'm going to be a senior double majoring in English (honors) and Comparative Religion, with possibly a minor in French (and will probably be staying on as a fifth year senior). Basically, I'm obsessed with reading, and watching foreign films. I believe being spiritiual is essential for everyone's well being, and I hope to help with that here at Crossraods. Hope to see you!
